23rd February 2006 Kite buggying - boarding: Blouberg Beach - Capetown Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: 25 - 30knts Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 26C Sea Temperature: cold Weather: Sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered: Caught the bus from CT and headed up to table view in the hope of flying my 12m kite. Got there and it was blowing a hoolie!! I waited aound on the beach for an hour or so before I got talking to these 2 american guys who had just hired a new 7m switchblade for the day. It was there first time in wavy conditions so I helped launch th kite and watched them get dragged down the beach and then through the water. I had a quick go on there spare trainer kite they had there to pass the time whilst they were body dragging through the waves. After helping them mess around with there kite for the day. They gave me a lift back to Capetown to there girlfiends house in Camps bay who was housesitting for some rich couple. Got a fancy dinner cooked for me so in all turned out to be a good day. Hoping the wind dies down for tomorrow and then I can finally fly my 12m kite. |
